From the check-in day with a lovely reception with fresh juice and cool perfumed towels to refresh from the day heath, until the checkout, we felt immediately that this accomodation would be our favorite in Zanzibar! Everything that is there is made and taken care with love, joy and effort. It is beautifully imagined and created with vision. We slept wonderfully in the quietness of the place, and we had very relaxing days, we just used to go out to go to the beautiful beach (5min walking), we had everything we needed inside: a stunning restaurant literally in the giant and old baobab tree, where wood and illumination result in a perfect ambience to have dinner. The food was everyday fresh and delicious, very well prepared and served by the nicest staff ever! To burn the calories we used to go to the gym and meet with the resident little monkey, Mr. Bob! :) we had so much fun! To relax, we had some card games, domino, with the pool bar close to have a fresh drink. Finally, a word to Aisha the massage lady (yes, they also provide massage service!): we loved your work and thank you for relaxing us so much! :) For the owners, Sophie & Eric: we are very lucky to have been in your beautiful lodge and having the chance to meet you! Everything was perfect in this place. Very clean, spacious rooms, warm water, excellent water pressure, big mirror, great breakfast but also lunch/dinner. It is very close to the beach and the main road of Paje. I simply can't find any complaint so I highly recommend this place and they deserve the rating they already have.

The hotel arranged a tour to Jozani Forest for me, washed my laundry for a very reasonable fee, and answered my many questions about transport around the island. I loved having access to shady lounge chairs on the beach. Best of all, the food was amazing. There were so many delicious options.

Small beautiful paradies at the nicest part of the long clean Jambiani Beach. Good cosy 'Wakawaka' restaurant. Everything clean and well maintained. Pleasant large pool and shaded sunbeds for everyone. Due to only 11 rooms in total relaxed atmosphere everywhere. The five "beach houses" are huge with open-air bathrooms. The 6 "normal" rooms are all located in one big 2 story house right next to the five 'beach houses', 3 on ground-floor and 3 on top 1st floor. These rooms were looking a bit more "regular" but same high quality standard at least from outside. All rooms have sea view too. Very romantic location, perfect for couple vacations (adults only).

The Villa is family friendly, clean and neat , having almost an entire kitchen is amazing..can accommodate all family needs perfectly. The entire hotel staff are super helpful and very easy to communicate with. A very relaxed place as they say in zanzibar "pole pole". Would highly recommend to families with kids for a short stay, has excellent swimming pool also..

We were upgraded to the Mawingu villa which was incredible! We had no reason to leave our villa which had a beautiful outdoor lounge looking out on the beach, a plunge pool, waterfall shower, and plenty of space. The architecture/design was very pleasant. We had amazing service from our dedicated staff member Mambo who organized our meals/space and always added a special touch. The food was phenomenal both healthy and delicious; we continuously looked forward to the next meal which was all covered in the package. They provided a list of additional activities and management went out of their way to help us plan a special day that worked for us; we enjoyed snorkeling, massages, and a sunset cruise. Once you consider everything provided in the package, we felt we received good value. Highly recommend!

The lodge was the perfect size and not overcrowded like you’ll find on the resorts. I’m not exaggerating when I say this, the food was FANTASTIC! All the seafood and veggies are sourced from local fishermen and farms. The pool is perfect and overlooks the Indian Ocean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Having traveled to over 25 countries and stayed in various resorts, hotels, and hostels, I can confidently say that I've never encountered a service quite like this. The staff here is exceptional, the hotel is impeccably clean with spacious rooms, making it the perfect place for relaxation. I highly recommend it. An outstanding gesture was when they offered me a room for the night, free of charge, despite my very late flight until 2 am.
