Room was very warm and had heated towel/cloth hangers - perfect if weather outside wasn't the best. And owners are really attentive and friendly.

The rooms all have a fabulous view with comfortable beds and nice decor. The bathroom is spacious, has excellent water pressure, and has great bath products. The historic facilities are fantastic, and the decor throughout the hotel matches the aesthetic. The pool and spa are excellent. I wish they were a little larger. Had a good massage. Food is the real highlight, and I was happy we booked half-board. Dinner was wonderful for the quality. Back in Canada, we'd easily pay double, if not triple, for the same quality. The location makes for a great base to explore the region. It's a few minutes outside of Puerto Natales so easy to book your own tours or grab lunch or shop in town.

Amazing city!
Amazing city! There is so much to see and do both in the city and in the region. I was here for 5 nights, and it wasn't long enough. (Caveat: I am a leisurely traveller, and like to sleep in some days, and not jam-pack my days!) Try to come in January/February if you want warm weather. It does get cooler and rains a bit in the fall. DO GO to Isla Magdalena and see th Magellen penguins – it's one of the biggest colonies and they are literally everywhere so you can see them extremely close up. Do NOT go with an organized tour group. This is totally doable on your own and the experience is the same, and likely better. Especially if you take the afternoon ferry, since most tours go in the morning and I figured the ferry must have at last 25-30% more people aboard then. If you want to take in Tierra del Fuego and it's landscape and history, and don't mind a lot of time in a tour van because of the distance and hours involved, then you might want to also see the King penguins. Keep in mind that this is NOT an established colony. It is a fledgling settlement and as such you are kept a very fair distance away and will be viewing them from blinds. Some of my tour companions were disappointed. I wasn't, you have to take the tour as a whole for what it is. Don't miss the Nao Victoria replica ships museum. Also, the Museo Regional de Magallanes and the Palacio Sara Braun are crucial to understanding the history of the Menendez Braun family in Punta Arenas and all of Magallanes.

Overall a very nice and stylish hotel located in the heart of Punta Arenas. The rooms are clean and well maintained as the property is an impressive piece of architecture dating back to 1895. Location is perfect with easy access and walking distance to the mostly every area of the city including the waterfront to see the Estrecho de Magallanes. The staff were very courteous and attentive. Good breakfast with a fair selection of food. Our suite was decorated with style and was very comfortable.

Tierra Patagonia is an oasis, where everything works seamlessly. The staff is superb, the views sublime, the food exceptional, the rooms soothing and beautiful, the spa restorative. We booked the Mountain View rooms and we were very satisfied. You can enjoy the mountain view from everywhere in the hotel from Lobby, Bar, Dining Room or even the indoor swimming pool, etc from dawn until dusk. The view here is even better than those hotels inside the Park which charge you a lot more with less services. Menu for both food and beverages have great variety with good quality that we still enjoyed them even on the fifth and last day. We also enjoyed the special event of "Patagonian Roast Lamb" very much and wished we could experience this more. We had the "all inclusive" package and it was really a worry-free one with very good lunch box and snack for you to hike.

We arrived to the hotel after 10pm on New Years Eve after trekking in Patagonia. Thoroughly exhausted, as soon as we arrived the staff welcomed us, asked if we wanted any late night food, got us set up, and had a NYE party ready to go for guests. The welcome honestly blew us away since we had no way to communicate how late we were getting back. They were so accommodating and the rooms are more beautiful than the photos indicate (and the photos are stellar). Highly recommend.

The food was delicious and a must try even if you are not staying in the hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful, they even taught me how to prepare a mate properly. The facilities were great and the room comfortable. I find it a good price/quality ratio as we are in a very remote area.
