It's a pleasant enough walk down from Tamsin, but most of the shops are similar to those to be found in most big cities in Europe. The historic tram is a fun ride if you want to skip the walk. Alternatively, take a detour into the Galatasaray "Fish Market" for a more local view, or into the street full of bars to the right at the Tünel end of the street.

Great place for people-watching, with 2 million people a day traipsing up and down it. Be sure and explore some of the side alleys. And if you can get in at a time when the Korean tourists are otherwise busy, try the Kaymak at Ozsut Muhallebicisi down near the Tunel station; more than a little fattening bjut oh so good!

One of the most busy streets in Istanbul, there is shopping, there is food, there is nightlife. Wallets and phones in your front pocket for sure. Shops stay open till ten pm and food till late night. Nightlife was fun there were alot of local pubs.

Location of the hotel was excellent, close to Taksim Square and Istiklal Street, less than 5 mnt walking distance. Susan, Ahan & his brother were extremely helpful during our stay.
They allowed us to check in earlier. It is positive because check in is quite simple, we did it by ourselves, without meeting the landlords. The location is good in that it is right next to the metro station, bus station, funicular, as well as Istiklal street. The apartment has everything necessary for a stay.
The first and foremost hotel staff was exceptional - very professional, helpful, and pleasant. The location is great, and only a few steps away from the main shopping street (Istiklal Street). The room was clean, but the furniture was a bit worn out. The breakfast is quite good and offers plenty of choices for different tastes.
Everything was good and Murat was very kind and helpful.
The apartment was clean and near to Taksim Meydanı and Istiklal Street 👍🏻 We’ll be back in summer 🙏🏻
This is my fourth or fifth time in this hotel, every time its better and better and better. the staff are really nice, they\re available 24\7 and I mean it when I say 24\7.
I usually travel solo, so I look for a place that is safe and at the same time at budget, so I always reserve a room at Nevi hotel.
its directly on one of the stores on Istiklal street so there are people all the time crossing the hotel's main entrance and this makes it safer at least in my eyes! Turkey in general loves Palestinians and especially this hotel <333
Room was very pleasant. I must comment on the pillows as they were the best I've had in a hotel, nice and firm giving great support to head and neck. Location close to Taksim square and Istiklal Street. Francesco on reception was a friendly and chatty guy, was a pleasure to meet him. Saal (sorry if I've spelt that wrong!), who I met briefly, was also friendly. WiFi was very fast. Free tea making facilities with a nice and basic kitchen.
The location is perfect. You are near Istiklal Street (You need to climb an uphill street). It is also near Galata Port, 3 min away from T1 Tram station. You are also inside a Turkish neighborhood with lots of small shops. The apartment was with very good privacy. The owner's cousin had small shops in front of the building. They are very friendly, helpful and speak very good English.
The location is perfect, 2 min from istiklal street. The staff is really nice & helpful! I recommend this hotel, if you have a small budget but you still want a really good location in Istanbul! This is the place :)
Not a traditional hotel room but more like a small one bedroom apartment with separate open plan living/kitchenette which was a welcome change. Staff were very courteous and kept in touch on WhatsApp to arranged airport transfer. We left our big suitcases here as we were returning to the hotel in a couple of days after vising Cappadocia and they happily accommodated our request. Very close to Taksim square and Istiklal street covers you for great food, shopping and transportation options.
