We loved our stay, rooms were adorable and sweet. We did have to change to a different room due to hotel issues, but we were still impressed and over the moon with everything. The location was PERFECT! Mel was fantastic to communicate with! We couldn't have wished for a better break away for our 3 year anniversary. It got even better after my partner popped the question 💍💍💍!

Laurel and Sue were lovely hosts, very welcoming and made the best breakfast each morning. My room was so well appointed with a relaxed provincial style which I love. The bed was so cosy and comfortable and I loved walking out onto my veranda to relax. The location was excellent, just a short walk to the beach.

It was a very easy 8 minute walk into Lorne from our apartment and we could walk along the boardwalk or take the street paths.
The beaches were lovely and gorgeous views from our balcony. The apartment was furnished and decorated beautifully.
I could not fault anything and will be back again.

Our hostess Sally, has put together a very cosy, comfortable, romantic Parisian room together with great taste. Very large and comfortable bed, all the amenities you could possibly need. Great support if in need, prompt, friendly, professional and persistent. Great location, made getting around Lorne and beach very easy.

Lorne is a lovely place to stay, The beach is clean and good for swimming, and lovely to walk along in the evening. There are plenty of shops to look at, and a good variety of cafes, casual dining and restaurants to choose from. You can access all of Lorne without needing the car. There is a range of stunning walks that can be reached either by foot or by car, with a choice of difficulty ranging from stroller friendly to strenuous.

This was our first visit to Lorne and we were impressed from the moment we drove into town. It is bigger and more modern than we pictured, but not over-developed and certainly not crowded. The town is reminiscent of south-east Queensland, without the heat and humidity. The beach is perfect for young families: a gentle gradient and waves for all ages. There were too many eateries for our three-day stay – one of the main reasons we'll return. Ipsos Restaurant is extremely popular all day long, however, we walked in without a reservation. Captain Hooked fish and chips is well worth a repeat. The locally made Gelato is smooth and packed with flavour. Erskine Falls and Sheoak Falls provide opportunity for manageable bursts of exercise away from the beach, with a nice reward at the end, contrasting abundant tree ferns of the temperate rainforest with sea-side bracken. Short drives to Aireys Inlet and Anglesea afford further opportunities to experience the Great Ocean Road and expand the tourist options on offer with lighthouse tours, canoeing and surf lessons.

Very pricey. Mostly friendly people.
Very pricey. Mostly friendly people. Had a miserable start to our stay our accommodation was horrible. We arrived and there was no one at reception. There was a sign up saying to ring a number which we did and it wouldn’t connect. Tried the door and it opened. There was a man inside who wasn’t much help. It was just horrible. Very unsettling. Very poor place to stay. 😞
I will always love the Cumberland. Our room was right at the front of the hotel so when we sat on the couch it was like we were right on the beach. The view was stunning. The rooms have great balconies, are very spacious and are very comfortable. I have loved the beautiful garden grounds of the Cumberland since I was a kid. Because Lorne is so hilly it is lovely to stay right in the heart of the town. We were so relaxed by the end of our long weekend. Lorne is my favourite beach town in Victoria.
Located conveniently minutes of drive from Lorne but in absolutely secluded quiet location overlooking river and mountains. Absolutely gorgeous! No reception or mobile, kangaroos hopping on the lawn, kookaburra hanging around, was great to see wildlife in its natural habbitat. Cabins were super clean and had all utilities and more: gas heater, cooking utensils, tea kettle, stove, soft bed and extra hot water, fire pit outside as well. Pleasantly surprised at entire holiday park set up.
We very much enjoyed our stay at The Sandridge Motel. The best place ever during Easter holiday secure parking as it was packed during easter. Very convinient everything you will ever need is just around the corner the beautiful beach, cafes and other shops. The reception lady was a bonus as she was very helpful in every way and made our stay extra special. We are looking forward to spend our next holiday back at Lorne and stay at the very same property. Thank you👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have stayed at Lorne many times and was keen to try the Mantra on this visit. The location is great, first spot to stay when you reach town. Can walk everywhere and they have a great full buffet breakfast where you can pay for better coffee; great facilities for families such as tennis, mini golf and lawn bowls. Close to the local supermarket and ice creamery. A gym and indoor lap pool on site were noted but not used.
Lorne is our home away from home; but Covid restrictions at the time had each household looking for somewhere new to stay rather than all together as a big family. My husband and I stayed here and were absolutely delighted by the service, the room, and the location. The linens were so comfy we even decided to buy the same doona for our own bed at home! This is a stay worthy of the gem of a town it’s in.
We loved the location! It was right next to the Lorne Hotel, at the start of the shopping strip and very close to the beach! It was very clean and comfortable with carparking just outside!. Was beautifully presented with very clear instructions on how to get there and to get inside the unit. The host was absolutely terrific! Looking forward to staying there again soon!
Spacious, clean and room is well equipped with our 2 nights stay. Owner, Tina is very accommodating and helpful especially our last minute request for extra 1 night stay😊.
Hotel is less than 3 mins walk to Foodworks, great place. Very close to the cafe, eateries and beach. Hotel good value and super convenient. Great customer service
Highly recommend.
The view is really nice and the best thing about the place. The furniture is reasonably comfortable for a rental house and the kitchen has essential cooking items. Close to the beach, although it is not a good beach for swimming or surfing and it is a steep walk up the hillside from the beach to the house. Short drive to Lorne beach, town and shops.
So peaceful and quiet, surrounded by nature! we saw kangaroos, cockatoos & vast variety of birds! we caught some yabbies, Everything we needed was provided in the cottage and the location was fabulous as it was only a short ride from Lorne town. Couldn't ask for a better holiday to get away with the family and be emersed in nature!
Qdos is primarily an art gallery with wonderful accommodation in five separate tree houses, not actually in trees, but with fantastic views as if they were.
Wonderful staff with a lovely cheese platter and an excellent complimentary wine on arrival.
Beautiful, comfortable room. Excellent food. We could live there for weeks.
The whole house to ourselves, great undercover car parking .
The elevation and outlook
Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds with electric blankets
Not too far from town
Dog friendly, which was the an important reason for choosing
Great location, right near the Lorne Hotel for dinner/drinks, walk to coffee/restaurants or beach. Room was nice and clean - our first overnight stop along GOR so appreciated really friendly staff and nice room, great value.
we all like everthing at Lorne Bush House Cottages & Eco Retreats. we love the wild live , Kangaroos and Birds and sounds. very relaxing. We had everthing we needed here.we love having an open fire toasting marshmellows.
Location location location!
Great little place to stay in Lorne. Walking distance to everything in town. Three merivale restaurants in the same hotel block. Very clean and comfortable. Great staff too.
The serenity of the park was great. We saw a koala in one of the trees. The view from the cabins of the cliff edge and river was beautiful and the access the Jebbs pool was great too.
All of it, great value for money, perfect location, amazing views, charm and character right through the house, we were very comfortable and everything worked as advertised.
